Dharma.house was founded in 2016, as a complementary offer to traditional meditation centres. Our mission is to inspire, and show by example that it is possible to create, another way of life, free from ordinary pettiness, free from complaining about our circumstances and free from mental rigidity.

How to stop polluting our lives?

led by Denis Wallez,

Saturday 22nd (7am) – Sunday 23rd (7pm) July 2017,

at the house,

in English.

The causal theory of kamma (in Pāḷi, karma in Sanskrit) is rejected by some as a simple cultural context for the Buddha, an ancient, outdated explanation, as erroneous as a geocentric view placing the Earth at the center of the universe. Others reject it as one of the possible beliefs in a “just world” (a cognitive bias which implies some cosmic order or justice, but often assigns blame to victims, thus reducing compassion). But kamma is first and foremost about what we do in the present which will pollute our future. How did the Buddha present it?
